Welcome to the Wakan Foundation for the Arts. Our aim is to serve the Humanity and the Greatest Good through this website and the projects that we create and support. The Wakan Foundation for the Arts provides and creates programs that fill a basic human need and craving: to know that life and people are good, and that there is hope concerning the conflicts, struggles, and problems that most of us face.

Our Current Projects: |

|
The Wakan Foundation for the Arts has produced several multi-award-winning
documentaries and other video programs, many of which have been broadcast
nationally. Here are a few of our more recent projects: "Dalai Lama Renaissance" Feature Documentary-- (Narrated by Actor Harrison Ford) documentary film about the Dalai Lama and his meeting in India with several of the world's leading visionaries to address and find solutions to some of the world's problems for the new Millennium. The film is currently being edited and should be finished approximately at the end of this year. The www.DalaiLamaFilm.com website contains the most up-to-date information about "Dalai Lama Renaissance." "Coach Parks" -- a documentary about Coach Ben Parks-- an inspiring high school coach who trains the minds, bodies and spirits of high school and celebrity athletes like Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, and Roger Craig. This documentary was recently completed, and has received a great deal of positive feedback. "Black Hawk Waltz: Tales of a Rocky Mountain Town" -- The Wakan Films 56 minute Documentary film about a true-life Colorado "Northern Exposure," which was broadcast on the History Channel and PBS stations, and won several awards. Our other projects have include two segments for Dateline NBC, an award-winning projects about Saving the Redwood Forests, and other projects. |
